Material Handler
Description

The Material Handler is an important component of production, preparing materials and providing each shift with the proper materials. The Material Handler also gives breaks to production and makes sure material is properly labeled and clean.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures company policies are followed and enforces safety regulations.
  • Performs assignments directed from the shift foreman.
  • Prepares materials for the shift.
  • Fills in for operators’ breaks.
  • Keeps material properly labeled and clean
  • Calculates the amount of material being returned to inventory.
  • Follows schedule created by Plaspros’ personnel for material preparation.
  • Maintains good working relationship with others.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently.
  • Basic math and computer skills and knowledge of measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, Plaspros training provided as needed.

Certificates, License, etc: Fork Truck License

Physical Demands: Able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Work Environment: Manufacturing environment. Some plastic dust and fumes. May involve elevated noise. May involve some chemicals
