Mold Setup Technician Night Shift
Description

The Setup Technician works with the Foreman to setup up presses running for the shift. This includes performing mold setup and color changes to meet production demands and monitoring the production for accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mold setup and color changes to meet production demands
  • Monitor production for accuracy/efficiency, work with quality inspectors to identify defects
  • Set molding process parameters to ensure part production quality
  • Performs injection mold changeovers
  • Performs weekly preventative maintenance on MAAC machines
  • Troubleshoot process, machine and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime
  • Identify defects in process and/or production and work with plant teams to increase efficiency and end product
  • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades
  • Fills in as foreman in foreman’s absence
  • Promote safety, ensuring company policies are followed and safety regulations are enforced
  • Completes all setup/removal paperwork in a timely manner
  • Helps keep work areas clean
  • Maintains good working relationship with others
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient oral and written English communication skills
  • Self-motivated and interested in continual professional development
  • Plastics injection molding experience
  • Mechanical skills and comprehension
